A huge chunk of ice

What an exciting day!! I went on a 6 hour four wheeling ride through the Alaskan wilderness. This included going through rivers, forest, and the dusty tundra.

The goal of the very dirty trip was to see the Knik glacier. It was worth the dirty bumpy ride.

I can now say that I've stepped on top of a glacier.

One of the best experiences of my life. The view was amazing. I now understand why they call this God's Country. I really am awe-struck by the beauty of nature.

There was one point in the ride when my ATV cap-sided in the mud. I thought to myself, "I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE SPA!" but looking back, I'm so happy I went on this journey. Did I mention that a moose crossed our path?!?

As Always, With Affection

  1. I raised an outdoor's sportswoman! I am so proud. You should read the books by Pam Houston, an avid sportswoman, who loves canoeing, hiking, fishing and dogs! She is one of my favorite writers.
